Kelly Rutherford, who was born on November 6, 1968 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, is best known for her roles as Stephanie “Sam” Whitmore on Generations and Megan Lewis in Melrose Place. Her other television credits include Homefront where she played Judy Owen, The Great Defender where she played Frankie Collet, Kindred: The Embraced where she played Caitlin Byrne and Threat Matrix where she played Special Agent Frankie Ellroy Kilmer. She also had a recurring role on The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. as Dixie Cousins and starred as Samantha Liston on the now cancelled series E-Ring. Rutherford has been married twice, the first to Carlos Tarajano who suffered a cardiac arrest shortly after their marriage. In 2996, she married her second husband, Daniel Giersch and at the age of 37, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
