Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford has the hots for Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin and he isn’t afraid to talk about it!

“I’m not gonna lie. Sarah Palin is quite attractive,” Chace gushed admitted Wednesday at the Stand Up For A Cure Concert Series at Madison Square Garden in NYC on Wednesday.

Maybe all that on-screen May-December romance is spilling into his personal life off-screen!

As for which candidate he is endorsing, Chace is keeping his mouth shut.

“I can’t talk politics,” he said.

THERE’S not much scandalous gossip about Blake Lively, but there certainly is a whole lot of buzz.

The 21-year-old blonde beauty was the breakout star on US television last year, with hit teen drama Gossip Girl.

She headlines the show as reformed wild girl Serena van der Woodsen.

The second season will be available exclusively on demand on SingTel mio TV from 8Sep.

Lively - who is currently dating her Gossip Girl on-screen love interest Penn Badgley - landed her first professional acting gig when she was cast in the 2005 chick flick The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants.

She reunited with her co-stars America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn for its sequel this year.

The 1.78m-tall California native is becoming such a hot commodity that she recently graced a rush of magazine covers.

She also landed on People’s Most Beautiful List and has been proclaimed one of ‘Hollywood’s New Wave’ by Vanity Fair and ‘Hollywood’s proverbial It Girl’ by Cosmopolitan. But Lively - who was senior class president, a cheerleader and a member of the championship show choir in high school - is simply a good girl at heart.

She told Seventeen magazine: ‘I once heard someone say that I’m similar to Paris Hilton - since I have a dog and blonde hair, that must mean we’re alike.

Chace Crawford may be known as Gossip Girl’s heartthrob Nate Archibald, but if that acting thing doesn’t work out, the 23-year-old actor could always try relationship counseling.

In the September issue of the U.K. edition of Glamour magazine, Crawford offers dating tips and love advice in a one-time-only “Dear Chace” column. Here’s a peek at the bachelor’s top tips for the ladies:

On what ‘not to do’ on a first date: “An obnoxious laugh, swearing like a sailor, bad breath, breaking wind, getting blackout drunk, talking about your exes. It’s a long list!”

On being a bit heavy and feeling self-conscious: “Some guys really dig love handles! Your issues seem to be more about you than your boyfriend. It sounds like you should hit the gym, not for your body or your boyfriend, but for your mind.”

On knowing you’ve found your soulmate: “I believe we all have a handful of soulmates. The most important thing to me is someone who makes me laugh. I know that’s cheesy, but really it’s not as complicated as you think.”

On going on a date, thinking it went well but then not hearing from the guy again: “You can’t please everyone. As long as you’re having fun in the meantime, it will happen. I try to get to know the girls I’m attracted to without having an official ‘date.’ I keep it light, become their best friend and hold off on the romance. If you’re friends first, the rest of it happens more naturally.”

Crawford and his Gossip Girl castmates return to television Monday, September 1.

Gossip Girl is on one of the UK’s smaller channels, ITV2 and ratings haven’t been great. How does that make you feel?

It’s very comparable to the US. The Nielsen ratings in America are a bit outdated. But the demographic it’s targeted at is very technology-savvy. They get it from iTunes, they pre-record it on TiVo (a type of digital video recorder). So the time for appointment television is coming to an end. I guess they’re going to have to figure a way out to mould it into a new medium.

If it weren’t for the internet we might be cancelled. The viral buzz that’s taken off from the show is great. To be honest it’s almost a blessing in disguise that it’s not some massive mega, mega 90210 that typecasts us and goes a decade. It’s a bit more under the radar and cult in a way. I’m sort of fortunate for that.

How many series are you going to stay for then?

Four is a golden number. We’d be blessed to even go four.

Can you tell us what happens in season two of Gossip Girl, which was commissioned in March?

I don’t even know what’s happening. I do know we’re shooting in the Hamptons (a weekend getaway for New Yorkers), so there’s probably going to be some interesting scandal go down there on the beach. Hopefully some more fights. Read the rest of this entry »
