On-and-off-screen lovers Blake Lively and Penn Badgley make front page news, heating up the latest cover of Entertainment Weekly’s Fall TV Preview.

The mag talks about their hit show Gossip Girl, why parents hate it and teen wants to live it.

As reported earlier, Olympic gymnastics champion Nastia Liukin has a guest-starring role in this upcoming season of Gossip Girl. John Patrick Amedori and Willa Holland also have scored multi-episode arcs on the hit CW show.

THERE’S not much scandalous gossip about Blake Lively, but there certainly is a whole lot of buzz.

The 21-year-old blonde beauty was the breakout star on US television last year, with hit teen drama Gossip Girl.

She headlines the show as reformed wild girl Serena van der Woodsen.

The second season will be available exclusively on demand on SingTel mio TV from 8Sep.

Lively - who is currently dating her Gossip Girl on-screen love interest Penn Badgley - landed her first professional acting gig when she was cast in the 2005 chick flick The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants.

She reunited with her co-stars America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn for its sequel this year.

The 1.78m-tall California native is becoming such a hot commodity that she recently graced a rush of magazine covers.

She also landed on People’s Most Beautiful List and has been proclaimed one of ‘Hollywood’s New Wave’ by Vanity Fair and ‘Hollywood’s proverbial It Girl’ by Cosmopolitan. But Lively - who was senior class president, a cheerleader and a member of the championship show choir in high school - is simply a good girl at heart.

She told Seventeen magazine: ‘I once heard someone say that I’m similar to Paris Hilton - since I have a dog and blonde hair, that must mean we’re alike.

NEW YORK — Blake Lively’s “Gossip Girl” character Serena van der Woodsen likes to wear Ralph Lauren, but in real live Blake is Chanel Girl! We ran into Blake while she was shopping at Chanel section at Saks Fifth Avenue. The 21-year-old actress was happy to take a break from her hectic shooting schedule to go shopping for her favorite brand. Blake was particularly interested in Chanel accessories and bags.

Just because Gossip Girl Blake Lively has hit instant fame doesn’t mean she can’t still shop on a budget. She can and she did recently with this Alpinestars Chambray Shirtdress ($68) she wore on her way to The Late Show With David Letterman. The bodacious blonde is really into casual shirtdresses, but considering the weather is warm and her body is hot, I can’t blame her. I like how she rolled up the sleeves and went unbuttoned for an effortless feel. The dress could use some ironing, but since it’s a casual style, it works.

Blake Lively emphasizes her squeaky-clean goody-two-shoes–ness in the current Cosmo, much to our (and probably Cosmo’s) annoyance. “I was class president, on the cheerleading squad, in a competitive show choir, and in, like, six different clubs,” she says primly. “I’ve kissed just three people in my life, other than stuff that I’ve done for TV or movies..I don’t drink. I don’t do drugs.” Annoying. It’s like she’s purposely trying to make us think she and Serena are two different people. What’s she going to tell us next, that she never shops at Barneys or never makes strange, orgasmic faces whilst making out with Penn Badgely? Well, ha. We know for a fact that she does do those things. Also! She is totally lying about the drinking! How duplicitous! And how like Serena.

Blake Lively has a big birthday to celebrate — the golden girl of Gossip Girl turns 21 today. That’s right — Blake is finally the legal age to start drinking some of those cocktails that Serena has apparently been knocking back since seventh grade of so.

Serena’s had one hell of a year — she returned from self-imposed exile to be with her suicidal brother, fell in love with a nice guy, had an illicit affair or two revealed, fought with and made up with (and fought with and made up with and fought with and made up with) her best friend, fended off the deranged stalkerish behavior of an ex-buddy, showed up in a tragically mis-styled bridesmaid dress for her mom’s umpteenth wedding — and that’s just scratching the surface! She also managed to capture the attention of the Upper East Side and look damn good doing it.

Blake herself has lived a similar whirlwind since Gossip Girl debuted — she’s been on magazine covers, had glowing features written about her, and generally become a media darling. We see her beaming smile, gorgeous blond locks and fabulous fashion everywhere we look. Not bad for a young woman who broke into acting only three years ago in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

We hope Blake has a great time on her birthday, whether she’s snuggling up with real-life boyfriend Penn Badgley, out partying with her friends, or having a relaxing weekend with a few special folks. Happy birthday, Blake!

HOLLYWOOD - Chace Crawford has hinted his co-stars on the TV hit series Gossip Girl do not get along.

The actor admits there is particular tension between co-stars Blake Lively and Leighton Meester–but only during filming.

He says, “There are obviously always little dramas. You are on set for 16 hours, so people get irritable. In any workplace there are always little things and frustrations.”

“Leighton and Blake could not be more different from each other but as far as I know there has never been any real difficulty. We are all good friends and we go out socially together.

When The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants rocked the faces off of theatergoers in 2005, only two of the four actresses involved were well-known for their work on hit television shows. Alexis Bledel was still playing Rory on Gilmore Girls at the time, and Amber Tamblyn had made a name for herself as the title character on Joan of Arcadia. When The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 hit theaters last week, the other two members of the foursome stole the spotlight. Blake Lively is now uber-famous for her work as Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl, and America Ferrera is the one and only Ugly Betty.

Last week, Ferrera and Lively appeared on the morning show Good Day L.A. to talk about the film, but things quickly got derailed in favor of Gossip Girl dish. If the hilarious clip that was highlighted on The Soup is any indication, Ferrera may be tired of hearing about the CW series.

She slides into a booth at a charming restaurant in New York City’s West Village and immediately buries her head in the menu. “Let’s share a bunch of stuff,” she says, then adds, “On average, I order about three meals for myself in one sitting.” She isn’t kidding. Last night, new fashion PR agency Jack + Bill hosted open casting call to select one model, women’s apparel designer, jewelry designer and fashion stylist to to win complimentary PR representation.

Mrs. Badgley and Ms. Sneed promoted their upcoming jewelry line, Badgley/Sneed Designs.
